Dog-safe peanut butter (xylitol-free), plain yogurt, pumpkin purée, wet food, or mashed banana all work great. Avoid chocolate, grapes, raisins, and anything with xylitol. Freeze it for a longer-lasting activity.
On smooth surfaces — tubs, tile, glass, sealed floors — press firmly and it holds well, even for enthusiastic lickers. On textured or porous surfaces it works best laid flat on the ground.
